The Chaplin Studios and personal archives are at present being scanned by the cinemathèque of Bologna in Italy, who to our great joy found sponsoring from The Fondazione Cassa di Risparnio in Bologna to set up a Chaplin Project Eventually the entire catalogue of the archives, with some reproductions of documents, will be available on the internet. Full consultation of the entire database will be possible at the cinematheque’s library, or on special request. The original documents are gradually being deposited in a special climate controlled space at the municipal archives of Montreux in Switzerland, near Chaplin’s old home.
