Launch of The Keystone Album at Paris Photo
To mark the centenary of the Tramp, Editions Xavier Barral and the Musée de l’Elysée are publishing a unique volume from the Charles Chaplin photographic archives that were deposited at the museum in 2011: The Keystone Album. It presents Chaplin’s first year in front of Keystone’s cameras in 1914. To examine these 795 stills is to witness the birth of a character and see the beginnings of a filmmaker. Published in French and in English, this beautiful book is enriched with two essays and a filmography.
→ In the Museum’s Bookstore and at Xavier Barral’s booth at Paris Photo as of November 13
