This isn't really a complaint, but i feel that the newer generations (I myself am included in these generations) don't really know of the history of cinema and the great artist of Charlie Chaplin. It seems difficult for me to think about how great an impact Charlie has made on our modern lives, the modern way of cinema our culture. He is present in almost everything today, but not as many people (mainly young) know of him or if they know 'Charlie Chaplin' they don't know how he was really or what he did. For example, at school the other day i was on myspace in media (we had to find some inetresting web layouts) and this girl saw my display picture, which is charles chaplin, and asked me who it was, so i told her to which she replied 'Oooh! Charlie Chaplin, the magic man!' and walked off, I could see in her face that she was shocked to see charlie out of costume as if he was 'the tramp'. At that point i couldn't be bothered to explain where she was wrong because I knew it would have taken far too long.
