Hello! I always see announcements for showings of Chaplin films "on the big screen" in big U.S. cities or in other countries. I would love to "show" something here (Panama City, Florida, USA) at a local art gallery. We would not charge admission, I just want to share Chaplin's work with people in my town. I would use a projector and simply project the images off a DVD. Does anyone know how I would contact someone to ask permission to do that? Thanks! Silent Twenties (Amy)

I would also be interested in finding out the same thing. Thanks Amy for a great question.

The distributors for some of the Chaplin films is currently Kino International, in New York, so please contact them if you would like to screen prints or dvds of City Lights, Great Dictator or Modern Times. For any other films made after 1918, contact MK2 (see the link on the page LINKS of this website) For Chaplin films made before 1918 the best quality source is David Shepard, Film Preservation Associates. Best,
