"Chaplin around the World" Seminar, Paris

**“Chaplin around the World” seminar, 12 & 13 November 2014
Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, INHA (Galerie Colbert)**

2014 marks 100 years since the start of the First World War, and also 100 years since Charles Chaplin’s first film. A two-day seminar in Paris will take a look at his first years of work, and in particular the critical reactions at the time, the distibution of Chaplin’s first films, and the artistic and theoritical interpretations of his first films worldwide.
